Condition
The parking assistance camera (PAC) module communicates with associated camera. Video signal is sent from the camera to the high level display front (HLDF) module via the parking assistance camera (PAC) module. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if there is no video signal.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No video signal.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- Reverse gear is engaged.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- The high level display front (HLDF) module shows a monochrome image.
Possible source
- Loose connection at video cable's connection to the camera or control module.
- Damaged cable between control module and camera.
- Camera has no power.
- Damaged camera.
- Damaged camera.
