Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information KVM-B10C300
Condition
When the external door handle is pulled outward, then two switches shall close in the following order:
1. Pull switch unlocking. This indicates that the handle has been pulled outward, which results in the Keyless vehicle module (KVM) starting to search for a passive key.
2. Switch lock bolt. At closing, an input is grounded on Keyless vehicle module (KVM) and indicates that the control module can activate the lock motor in the quick-lock to open the door.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Spring bolt switch closes without the pull switch unlocking being closed first.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Closing of spring bolt switch.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- The keyless vehicle module (KVM) transmits a signal to the central electronic module (CEM) that unlocking central locking must occur.
Possible source
- Open-circuit in the cable.
- Damaged switch.
Fault symptom[s]
- Delayed unlocking
