Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-C004428

Condition
The brake pressure sensor is located inside the hydraulic modulator. The brake pressure sensor provides the Brake control module (BCM) with information about the brake pressure in the brake system.
The brake pressure sensor has an offset value (correction value) for the individual sensor offset. With the ignition off, a calculated offset value is compared to the value that was saved in the previous operating cycle.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The offset value, when compared to the saved value, is outside its permitted range.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Traction control (TC) blocked.
- Stability control (SC) blocked.
- Active yaw control (AYC) is blocked.
- Brake assistance (BA) blocked.
