Checking vacuum pressure




- Start the engine.
- Read off the vacuum pressures in the brake booster's vacuum and working chambers.
Depress the brake pedal.
The vacuum pressure shall be updated when the brake pedal is pressed down. The vacuum pressure in the vacuum and working chamber shall match.
If the vacuum pressure in the vacuum and working chambers do not match, replace vacuum pressure sensor.
If the vacuum pressures match each other this indicates that the problem is intermittent, i.e. that the problem has previously been present but is no longer active.
