Checking the status




To diagnose the diagnostic trouble code (DTC), the vehicle must be driven at a speed above 2 km/h.
Test drive the vehicle and then read off the fault status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) without switching off the engine.

Check whether the fault is permanent or intermittent. Read off the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) fault status when the diagnostic status is "Completed".
The fault is permanent if the fault status is "Fault found".
If the status is "No fault found" this indicates that the fault is intermittent.

- Ignition off.
Check the recirculation of the damper solenoid. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Take readings between:
- The damper solenoid's connector terminal #2 and ground.

Hint: Read off the resistance of the damper solenoid.

The resistance can be read off via the control module or be measured directly on the component. The wiring is also included during resistance reading via the control module.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After repairing, it is necessary to check that the malfunction has been fixed.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Test drive the vehicle and then read off the fault status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) without switching off the engine.

Note! The scope of the test drive can vary and must be adjusted according to the conditions for the test in diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information.

Check that the diagnosis is "Implemented" and that the trouble status is "No malfunction found". If the trouble status is "Malfunction found", this indicates defective function.
