Replacing the control modules and downloading software




- Ignition off.
Suspension module (SUM) has detected an internal fault. If the fault is intermittent, the fault has been detected on a previous occasion. In the event of intermittent faults, no corrective action need be carried out if the fault does not recur. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs.
In the event of a permanent internal fault, the control module must be replaced.

After replacing control module, new software shall be downloaded and the control module shall be calibrated.

Hint: After repairing, it is necessary to check that the malfunction has been fixed.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Test drive the vehicle and then read off the fault status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) without switching off the engine.

Note! The scope of the test drive can vary and must be adjusted according to the conditions for the test in diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information.

Check that the diagnosis is "Implemented" and that the trouble status is "No malfunction found". If the trouble status is "Malfunction found", this indicates defective function.
