Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The Suspension module (SUM) monitors the internal functions in the control module. Main calibration data is internally stored in the Suspension module (SUM).
The Suspension module (SUM) receives information about the vehicle's configuration from the Central electronic module (CEM) via the controller area network (CAN).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Configuration information from the central electronic module (CEM) does nor correspond with main calibration data in the suspension module (SUM).
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
