Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-U210868
Condition
During the adaptive cruise control function, the Brake control module (BCM) activates the pressure build-up valve. The valve releases atmospheric pressure into the brake power booster. This increases the brake pressure in the brake system automatically. The accumulated brake pressure is used for automatic braking of the vehicle when the function adaptive cruise control (ACC) requests it.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The sensed braking does not match the braking requested by the adaptive cruise control (ACC).
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Incorrect vacuum pressure.
- Fault-trace the Forward Sensing Module (FSM).
- Locate the cause of the fault in the engine control module (ECM).
