Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The engine control module (ECM) regulates the variable cam profiles. The engine control module (ECM) checks the control signal for the cam profile valves.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Control signal is too low.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- Battery voltage higher than 10.5 V.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Hint: For this function, bank 1 consists of cylinders 1, 2 and 4. Bank 2 consists of cylinders 3, 5 and 6.
