Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-P022300
Condition
Engine control module (ECM) checks the signals from the electronic throttle unit's two position sensors.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from any of the sensors is unreasonably high.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- In case a defective signal is detected, the other signal is used.
- Cruise control turned off when malfunction is active.
Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals
- Signal cables short-circuited to voltage.
- Voltage feed short-circuited to battery voltage.
- Open circuit in ground cable.
- Ground cable short-circuited to voltage.
- Damaged electronic throttle unit.
