Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-P256702
Condition
Engine control module (ECM) communicates continuously with the radiator temperature sensor, located on the radiator. Communication takes place via the LIN-net and is done to ensure that the radiator is of the intended type for the vehicle.
The control module checks so that communication with the sensor is correct.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the radiator temperature sensor is incorrect.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Possible source
- Low coolant level.
- Contact resistance or oxidation on connections
