If the resistance in the starter motor circuit is too large the starter motor will not be able to develop full power and will therefore rotate more slowly under load.

Possible source
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the terminals.

Fault symptom[s]
- The starter motor does not turn
- Low rotation speed in the starter motor.
