This Document supercedes the previous one dated 2012-03-19. Changes to this journal are:

An improved PAC SW has been introduced for service for PAC ECU with P/N 31296558 and is available to order via VIDA.

If using a printed copy of this document, always check for the latest online version.

SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION:
The car is put into reverse gear and a message appears on the HLDF screen: "Parameters updated Turn off ignition Wait 10 s before restarting" The yellow guidance lines are not visible on the screen.

See attachment "PAC 1.jpg". After restart (one ignition cycle) the PAC system is working again. The symptom appears intermittently.

SERVICE:
In case of customer complaints, download a PAC upgrade.

Important Note:
The upgrade can only be performed on PAC ECUs with P/N 31296558
If an older PAC ECU is fitted into the vehicle, it will be necessary to change to P/N 31296558.
