Multimedia monitor with DVD, Dual screen

Applies to the right-hand front seat and cars without heated seats




- Take a clip with cable tie from the kit and install it on the plate edge on the left-hand side of the right-hand seat.





- Take the cable harness from the headrest and pull forward, in underneath the seat. Follow the cable harness for the seat belt buckle.
- Tighten the cable tie (1).
- Secure the cable using two cable ties (2).

Applies to the right-hand front seat and cars with heated seats




- Take the cable harness from the headrest and pull forward, in underneath the seat. Follow the cable harness for the heating element.
- Secure the cable using three cable ties (1).

Applies to the right-hand front seat




- Route the cable harness in an arc under the seat.
- Secure it using three cable ties in the existing cable harness.





- Take a piece of foam tape from the kit and cut it in the centre.
- Fold the seat forward slightly and connect the cable harness from the floor to the connector (1).
- Tape one cut piece of foam tape around the connectors.
- Place a cable tie on each side of the connectors and tighten.
- Check that the cable harness is not trapped when the seat is slid forwards and backwards.

The right-hand seat means the passenger seat
- Fold the backrest forward and backwards and check that the cable harness is not trapped when folding the backrest.

Applies to the left-hand seat and cars without heated seats




- Take a clip with cable tie from the kit and install it on the plate edge on the right-hand side of the left-hand seat.





- Take the cable harness from the headrest and pull forward, underneath the seat. Follow the cable harness for the seat belt buckle.
- Tighten the cable tie (1).
- Secure the cable using two cable ties (2).

Applies to the left-hand front seat and cars with heated seats




- Take the cable harness from the headrest and pull forward, in underneath the seat. Follow the cable harness for the heating element.
- Secure the cable using three cable ties (1).

Applies to the left-hand front seat.




- Route the cable harness under the seat.
- Connect the cable harness from the floor to the connector (1).
- Secure it using a cable tie in the existing cable harness or in a bracket.
- Tape one cut piece of foam tape around the connectors.
- Place a cable tie on each side of the connectors and tighten.
- Check that the cable harness is not trapped when the seat is slid forwards and backwards.

The left-hand seat means the passenger seat
- Fold the backrest forward and backwards and check that the cable harness is not trapped when folding the backrest.

Applies to all models




- Fold the ashtray out, press it down and remove





- Pull out the cup holder to its limit position.





- Turn the tunnel console.
- Lift up the catch and remove the cup holder.





- Remove the four screws.





- Pull the opening handle.
- Remove the two screws and lift off the lower section.





- Fold the cover up and remove the two screws.
- Remove the cover by sliding it forward. The cover will not be reused.





- Remove the plug for the 12 V socket.
- Remove the two rubber supports.





- Lift up the two catches and remove the inner section of the ashtray. It will not be reused.





- Release the two catches and remove the 12 V socket.





- Mark as illustrated on the tunnel console's storage compartment.
- Pre-drill using a - 2.5 mm (3/32") bit.
- Drill out the hole. Use a -35 mm (1 3/8") diameter hole saw.
- Smooth off the hole edges.

Points 65 - 66 apply when the tunnel console is not prepared for the RSE system




- Mark as illustrated on the tunnel console's upper section.
- Drill using a - 5mm (13/64") bit.





- Mark as illustrated on the tunnel console's upper section.
- Saw and cut out the hole according to the markings.

Applies to all models




- Take the lower section of the cover and cable harness (B) from the kit.
- Insert the end with the three (4 x with Digital TV receiver) connectors through the hole.
- Install the rubber grommet.





- Secure the cable harness with a tie strap.





- Take the DVD unit and 4 M4x6 screws from the kit.
- Connect the three (4 x with Digital TV receiver) connectors to the DVD unit.





- Place the DVD unit in the lower section of the cover as illustrated. Ensure that the cable harness goes under the DVD unit and does not protrude towards the open button or screw tower.
- Install the four screws and tighten.





- Take the cover's upper section and 4 screws, PF5x16, from the kit.
- Install the cover.





- Turn the cover, install the four screws and tighten to 3 Nm (2.2 lbf.ft.).





- Route the cable harness in from the DVD unit through the drilled hole and down on the right-hand side of the tunnel console.
- Install the rubber grommet.
- Check that the rubber grommet's flanges are against the console.





- Take the AV panel from the kit.
- Connect the green connector to it.





- Install the 12 V socket to the panel.





- Secure the cable harness clips on the flange of the AV panel.





- Press the panel into place.
- Secure the panel with one screw (ST 3.5x13) from the kit.





- Reinstall the rubber support, the ashtray and the plug for the 12 V socket.





- Install the cover on the tunnel console and tighten with the two screws.





- Open and close the cover three times.
- Check that the lock at the front edge works and that the rubber bushings are in place.
- The cable harness should be in a loop as illustrated.





- Turn the console and route the cable harness as illustrated.





- Thread the cable harness out through the square cut out on the lower section of the tunnel console.
- Secure the two clips of the cable harness on the plastic flanges.
- Tighten the lower section using the 6 screws.





- Take a cable tie and secure the 12V socket's cable by the clip on the cable harness from the DVD unit.
- The cable tie catch should point towards the outer side of the tunnel console.
- Reinstall the cup holder.





- Make marks for drill holes on the opening handle for the tunnel console as illustrated.
- Pre-drill using a - 2.5 mm (3/32") bit.
- Drill out the hole using a - 6 mm ( 15/64") drill bit.





- Take the cover and 2 x PF5x12 screws from the kit.
- Install the cover on the opening handle.
Digital TV receivers must then be installed:
Continue with the installation instructions: TV receiver, digital.





- Reinstall the front tunnel console and at the same time pull up the connectors for the RSE system, 12 V socket and telephone if applicable.





- Connect the 4 pin black connector from the cable harness (B) to the one disconnected from the AUX socket.





- Take the upper panel for the front tunnel console.
- Remove the AUX socket by releasing the catches at the front and rear edge.





- Take the new AUX socket from the kit and connect it to the 7 pin connector from cable harness (B).
- Install the socket in the panel with the connector's catch backwards.





- Install the tunnel console's upper panel.
- Check that the panel hooks securely at the front edge.
- Reinstall the tunnel console's 8 screws and tighten them.

Applies to cars with telephone




- Reinstall the telephone cradle with the screws (3).
- Route the telephone cable.
- Install the telephone cable in the load-removing grommet (2).
- Connect the connector (1).

Applies to all models




- Connect the connector for the 12V socket.





- Take the rear tunnel console.
- Connect the two connectors for the RSE system (3 x with Digital TV-receiver.)
- Take two pieces of foam tape from the kit and wrap them around the connectors. Cut off the foam tape excess.





- Insert the connectors into the tunnel console.
- Hook the connector on for the 12 V socket.
- Slide the rear tunnel console forwards in its grooves until it locks and check that the cable harness is not trapped.





- Take the cable with the 2 x 4 pin connector and route forward on the driver's side.
- Fold the carpet to one side and place the cable underneath.





- Locate the 4 pin, grey connector for the power supply. It is secured on the thick cable harness under the dashboard on the driver's side.

Note! The pre-routed connector is already connected on certain versions.





- Connect the cable harness to the existing connector (1).
- Wrap a piece of foam tape around the connected connectors and cut off the excess.
- Install the connector (2) on the car's existing cable harness using a cable tie.

Note! The pre-routed connector is already connected on certain versions. In such a case, disconnect it and connect both connectors from the new cable harness. Wrap a piece of foam tape around the connectors.

Reinstall:
- the small storage compartment
- the panel at the gear selector
- side panels
- the sound barrier





- Install the batteries in the remote control and headsets.
- Region code the DVD player.

To activate the TV function
1. Aim the remote control at the screen and press DAY/NIGHT ("on/off") for approx. 5 seconds until SERVICE MENU is displayed.
2. Enter code 1971, press OK.
3. Select SET TV, press OK.
4. Select TV connected, press OK.
5. Exit.

Installing decals (Only applies to USA and Canada)




- Take the black decal from the kit.
- Clean the area (1) where the decal will be located. Use a mixture of 30% windscreen washer fluid and 70% water. Wipe dry.
- Remove the backing paper from the adhesive side of the decal. Secure the decal as illustrated.
- Press the decal into place properly.
