Signal too low

Checking the wiring








- Ignition off
- Disconnect connector D on the rear electronic module (REM).
Check the signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
For the S60
Take readings between:
- Rear electronic module (REM) terminal #D5 (#5) and terminal #B1 on the connector for the rear left-hand lamp housing
- Terminal #B1 on the connector for the rear left-hand lamp housing and terminal #B3 on the connector for the rear right-hand lamp housing.
For S80
Take readings between:
- Rear electronic module (REM) terminal #D5 (#5) and terminal #4 on the connector for the rear right-hand lamp housing.
For the V70
Take readings between:
- Rear electronic module (REM) terminal #D5 (#5) and terminal #A1 on the connector for the rear left-hand lamp housing
- Terminal #A1 on the connector for the rear left-hand lamp housing and terminal #A5 on the connector for the rear right-hand lamp housing.
For the XC90
Take readings between:
- Rear electronic module (REM) terminal #D5 (#5) and terminal #A1 on the connector for the rear right-hand lamp housing.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Activate the parking lamp.
Check that the parking lamp is activated.

Is the parking lamp activated?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
