Condition




The rear electronic module (REM) powers the license plate lighting directly via an output.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the rear electronic module (REM) detects a faulty signal.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key position II.

Substitute value
- If the fault has been detected in 100 ignition cycles, the output is closed permanently until the diagnostic trouble code is erased (applies from structure week 200539).

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable.

- The license plate lighting does not operate.
