Checking the wiring

- Ignition off
- Disconnect connector D on the rear electronic module (REM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if there is no communication between the rear electronic module (REM) and the parking assistance module (PAM). This may be due to a fault in the signal cable between the control modules or a defective communication device in one or all of the control modules.
Check the signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Take readings between:
- Rear electronic module (REM) terminal #D32 (#32) and parking assistance module (PAM) terminal #A12.
Remedy as necessary.
