Condition




The upper electronic module (UEM) regularly compares a communication test with the rain sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is generated if the upper electronic module (UEM) registers that the signal cable of the rain sensor is short-circuited to supply voltage. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not generated if UEM-0081 is stored.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- Intermittent windshield wiping.
- High speed windshield wiping.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable for the rain sensor
- Faulty rain sensor.

Fault symptom[s]
- No rain sensor function.
