Impurities in the oil, such as cast material and cast burrs, may cause the cam profile solenoid (CPS) to jam. In most cases the solenoid does not have to be replaced, cleaning is enough. Press on the link for instructions on cleaning cam profile solenoid (CPS).
Replace the solenoid if it still has malfunctions after two cleanings.
