Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-P007600
Condition
The engine control module (ECM) regulates the position of the camshaft (angle) by regulating the camshaft reset valve.
The engine control module (ECM) checks the control signal for the camshaft reset valve.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Control signal is too low.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- Battery voltage higher than 10.5 V.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Camshaft control switched off.
Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors.
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
- The power supply cable is short-circuited to ground.
- Damaged camshaft reset valve.
Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator light (MIL), on
- Uneven idle
- High emissions
- Engine stalls when driving
