Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Shift solenoids S1 and S2 work with the linear solenoids to handle shifting in the transmission. The solenoids are controlled by power stages in the transmission control module (TCM). The control module activates the power stages to activate the solenoids and sends voltage through the circuit. The control module checks the function of the circuit by sending out a control current when the solenoid is not activated.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No signal in the circuit of solenoid S2 when the solenoid is not activated.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.
Hint: Emergency mode in the event of a fault, B6324S5, TF-80SC, B6324S5, TF-80SC AWD Emergency Mode In The Event Of A Fault
Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals.
- Open circuit on control signal lead.
- Shift solenoid not working.
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
- Internal fault in the transmission control module (TCM).
Fault symptom[s]
- General warning lamp lit
- Malfunction indicator light (MIL), on
- Rough gear shift
- No gear shift
