Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
The control module is continuously supplied with information about the position and status of the brake pedal switch from the brake control module (BCM) via CAN communication.
The control module checks the communication with the Brake control module (BCM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Information from Brake control module (BCM) is incorrect/unreasonable.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Cruise control is disengaged when the fault is active.
Possible source
- Look for the cause of the fault in the brake control module (BCM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Cruise control does not operate
