Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information TCM-P272900

Condition
Linear pressure solenoid SLB1 controls system pressure in the transmission. The solenoid is controlled by a power stage located on the output of the transmission control module (TCM). The control module uses the power stage to control the current to the solenoid. A low amperage results in a high line pressure. A high amperage (approximately 1A) results in a low line pressure. The amperage is primarily affected by the throttle position.
The diagnostic trouble code is stored if the control module detects:
- An open circuit in solenoid SLB1 circuit.
Then Solenoid SLB1 cannot control the system pressure.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Shifting when linear pressure solenoid SLB1 is activated.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.

Hint: Emergency mode in the event of a fault, B6324S5, TF-80SC, B6324S5, TF-80SC AWD Emergency Mode In The Event Of A Fault

Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals.
- Open-circuit in the cable for the control signal or signal ground.
- Line pressure solenoid SLB1 does not work.
- The transmission control module (TCM) does not function.

Fault symptom[s]
- General warning lamp lit
- Malfunction indicator light (MIL), on
- No lock-up
- Rough gear shift
