Crankshaft Pulley Removal and Installation

Special Tools Required

- Holder Handle 07JAB-001020B
- Crankshaft Pulley Holder 07AAB-RJAA100
- Socket, 19 mm 07JAA-001020A

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle on the lift.

2. Remove the right front wheel.

3. Remove the front splash shield Front Splash Shield Replacement.

4. Remove the drive belt Service and Repair.

5. Hold the pulley with the holder handle (A) and the holder attachment (B).





6. Remove the bolt with a socket, 19 mm (C) and a breaker bar, then remove the crankshaft pulley.

Installation

1. Remove any oil and clean the crankshaft pulley (A), the crankshaft (B), the bolt (C), and the washer (D). Lubricate with new engine oil as shown.






2. Install the crankshaft pulley, and hold the pulley with the holder handle (A) and the crankshaft pulley holder (B).





3. Torque the bolt to 50 Nm (5.0 kg-m, 36 lb-ft) with a torque wrench and a 19 mm socket (C). If the pulley bolt or crankshaft are new, torque the bolt to 180 Nm (18.0 kg-m, 133 lb-ft), then loosen the bolt and torque it to 50 Nm (5.0 kg-m, 36 lb-ft).

4. Tighten the pulley bolt an additional 90°.

5. Install the drive belt Service and Repair.

6. Install the front splash shield Front Splash Shield Replacement.

7. Install the right front wheel.
