20. With SH-AWD: Remove the breather hose (A) from the hose clip (B).
21. Remove the heater hoses (C) from the clamps (D), and remove the bolt securing the clamp bracket (E).
22. Remove the hose (A) from the clamp on the air bypass outlet pipe (B), and remove the air bypass outlet pipe.
23. Remove the bolts securing the harness clamp bracket from the transmission housing.
24. Attach the support eyelet (07AAK-SNAA600) to the cylinder head with the 1.8 support bolt (07AAK- SNAA500). Tighten the bolt by hand.
25. Remove the top corner clips (A) from the front grille on both sides, and remove the brackets (B), then raise the seal (C) from the front grille.
26. Place the mount pads (07AAK- STKA120) over the hood edge cushions (A), and align the pins with the clip hole (B).
27. Remove both lids for the front damper flange nuts from the cowl cover. Use the adapter (A) between the cross arm foot (B) and body when positioning the engine support hanger.
28. Carefully position the engine support hanger (AAR-T1256) on the vehicle, and attach the hook to the slotted hole in the support eyelet (07AAK-SNAA600). Tighten the wing nut (C) by hand to lift and support the engine/transmission assembly.
NOTE: Use care when working around the windshield.
29. Insert a 6 mm Allen wrench (A) in the top of the ball joint pins (B), and remove the nuts (C), then separate the stabilizer links (D) from the stabilizer (E).
30. Remove the nuts (F) and bolts (G) securing the lower arms (H) and ball joints (I), and separate the lower arms from the ball joints.
31. Remove the three-way catalytic converter (A).
32. With SH-AWD: Remove the bolt securing the transfer breather hose bracket (A), and disconnect the breather hose (B) from the breather pipe (C) on the transfer assembly. Cap the breather pipe to prevent fluid from leaking out.
33. With SH-AWD: Make a reference mark (A) across the propeller shaft (B) and the transfer companion flange (C).
34. With SH-AWD: Separate the propeller shaft from the transfer companion flange.
35. Remove the bolts securing the ATF cooler line at the front of the subframe.
36. Remove the torque converter cover (A), and remove eight drive plate bolts (B) while rotating the crankshaft pulley.
37. Remove the bolt securing the power steering fluid line clamp bracket at the right front of the subframe.
38. Remove the power steering fluid hose from the hose clamps.
39. Remove the steering gearbox bracket mounting bolts.
40. Remove the steering gearbox bracket mounting bolts.
