ACC Indicator (Amber) Does Not Go Off

Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not go off

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Connect the HDS to the data link connector.
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is any DTC indicated?

YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC.

NO - Go to step 4.

4. Start the engine, and wait for 2 seconds.
5. Watch the ACC indicator.

Does the ACC indicator go off?

YES - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

NO - Go to step 6.

6. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
7. Check for ACC system DTCs with the HDS.

Is any DTC indicated?

YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC.

NO - Go to step 8.

8. Check for Fuel and Emissions DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC U0104 indicated?

YES - Go to step 9.

NO - Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function.

9. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 86 indicated?

YES - Go to step 10.

NO - Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function.

10. Check for ACC system DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 107 indicated?

YES - Aim the millimeter wave radar unit.

NO - Go to step 11.

11. Check for CMBS DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 100 indicated?

YES - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC.

NO - Go to the ACC system troubleshooting (No DTC indication). If OK, replace the ACC unit.
