The following modes can be selected by inserting address word 33:

Mode Function
1 Transmit diagnostic data:
^ Only certain individual test values can be read. In the Audi dealer service department, the measuring value block should only be read using address word 02, function 08.

2 Not applicable

3 Check DTC memory:
^ Only malfunctions that influence exhaust emissions are indicated immediately (depending on the malfunction), or after two "trips" using the corresponding P-codes. In the Audi dealer service department, the measuring value block should only be checked using address word 02, function 02.

4 Erase DTC memory:
^ DTC memory can be erased even if it has not previously been checked. In the Audi dealer service department, DTC memory should only be erased using address word 02, function 05.

7 OBD test results, continuously monitored:
^ Emissions-related malfunctions can be displayed, even if these malfunctions have not been recognized long enough for the MIL to be switched on.
