Fastener Tightening Specifications





• 1 Always replace

• 2 Grease the threads and head seating surface

• 3 Install using locking fluid.

• 4 Lubricate the threads and contact surface

• 5 Tighten to 30 Nm when measuring radial clearance, do not turn further

Crankshaft Bearing Cap Bolt/Nut Tightening Sequence and Specification





- Tighten the new bearing cap nuts/bolts in the following sequence:

1. Hand tighten the bolts - A -.

2. Tighten the nuts - 1 through 10 - to 35 Nm.

3. Tighten nuts - 1 through 10 - 90° (1/4 additional turn) using a ratchet.

4. Tighten the bolts - A - to 22 Nm.

5. Tighten bolts - A - 90°(1/4 additional turn) using a ratchet.
