Front Center Console







Front Center Console

Removing

- On a vehicle with automatic transmission, place selector lever in position "S".

- Turn off the ignition.

- Remove rear center console. Refer to => [ Rear Center Console ] Rear Center Console.

- Remove the Climatronic control module (J255).

- Remove gap cover over ashtray - arrow -.





- Open front ashtray.





- Remove front ashtray insert.

- Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 -.

- Release ashtray - 3 - with a screwdriver - arrow - by positioning screw driver on opening - 4 -.

- Remove front ashtray housing.

- If applicable, disconnect electrical connection.

- Unclip shift or selector lever boot - 1 - on both sides and pull up to remove - arrows -.





Vehicles with automatic transmission:





- Release retaining spring - 2 - and remove selector chart - 1 - - arrow -.

- Disconnect electrical connector.

All:





- Remove bolts - arrows -.

- Lift front console a little on rear edge and pull back from instrument panel.

- Disconnect electrical connectors.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Install rear center console. Refer to => [ Rear Center Console ] Rear Center Console.

By disconnecting the electrical connector on the parking brake button, a malfunction is entered in the electronic parking brake control module.

- Switch on ignition.

- Close and release the electronic parking brake.

- Erase malfunction in electronic parking brake control module.
