Left Exhaust Manifold






Left Exhaust Manifold

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine Support Bridge (10 - 222 A)

Engine Support Supplement Set (T40093)

Removing

- Remove the upper left coolant pipe. Refer to => [ Upper Left Coolant Pipe ] Upper Left Coolant Pipe.

- Remove the left front wheel.

- Remove the left front wheel housing liner.

- Loosen the nuts in the sequence - 6 to 1 -.






The installation location is shown with the engine removed.

Both securing straps remain installed.

- Install the (10 - 222 A) with adapter (T40093/6) on the left and right strut towers, as shown in the illustration.






- Engage the spindle (10 - 222 A /11) in the left rear engine lifting eye.

- Lightly pretension the engine using the spindle.

- Remove the bolt - arrow - from the left engine mount.






- Raise the engine by dimension - a - using the (10 - 222 A /11).






Dimension - a - = approximately 30 mm.

- Remove the nuts. Loosen the left exhaust manifold from the retaining strip and remove it.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Left Exhaust Manifold, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ] Exhaust Manifold Overview.

Replace seal and self-locking nuts.

When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

- Place the seal on the stud bolts.






- Insert exhaust manifold in securing strips and tighten the nuts. Refer to => [ Left Exhaust Manifold, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ] Exhaust Manifold Overview.

- Install the left engine mount. Refer to => [ Left Engine Mount ] Left Engine Mount.

- Install the left front wheel housing liner.

- Installing the upper left coolant pipe. Refer to => [ Upper Left Coolant Pipe ] Upper Left Coolant Pipe.
