Brake Disc Thickness, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Use a commercially available caliper gauge or a micrometer gauge

The minimum permissible brake disc thickness "min.Th." can be found on the brake disc cup. engraved

- Measure the brake disc thickness three times on each wear indicator the circumference of the of the brake disc - x -.





When dimension x = min. Th. +0.2 mm is reached, then the brake disc should also be weighed to determine the wear. => [ Brake Disc, Weighing ] Brake Disc, Weighing

If the permissible minimum thicken "min.Th." is reached, then the brake disc can no longer be driven. Replace the brake disc.

In this case, replace the brake discs on each side of the axle. Refer to=> [ Front Ceramic Brake Disc, C/SIC Caliper ] Front Ceramic Brake Disc, C/SIC Caliper

Brake pads must always be replaced on both sides of the axle. Refer to => [ Front Brake Pads, Ceramic Brakes ] Front Brake Pads, Ceramic Brakes.
