2 Mounting Bracket
3 Coupling Rod
• During start of production, coupling rods with two ball joints were revised to coupling rods with one ball joint and a bonded rubber bushing. The side with the bonded rubber bushing is attached to the stabilizer bar. Do not install both types together.
• Connects stabilizer to trailing link/wheel bearing housing.
4 Bolt
• 90 Nm + 45° turn
• Follow tightening sequence. Refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.
• Always replace if removed.
5 Trailing Arm
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Trailing Arm with Mounting Bracket ] Trailing Arm With Mounting Bracket.
• Servicing, refer to => [ Trailing Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing ] Trailing Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing.
6 Bolt
• 8 Nm
7 Right Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (G44) / Left Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (G46)
• Can be checked in Guided Fault Finding using the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system (VAS 5051)
• Clean the inner surface of the hole and then coat it with polycarbamide grease (G 000 650) before installing the sensor.
8 Wheel Bearing Housing
• Different versions: Aluminum and steel.
• Allocation, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

9 Bonded Rubber Bushing
• Replacing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing Bonded Rubber Bushing ] Wheel Bearing Housing Bonded Rubber Bushing.
10 Washer
• Installed only on vehicles with an aluminum wheel bearing housing.
11 Nut
• 45 Nm
• Always replace if removed.
12 Brake Disc
13 Bolt
• 4 Nm
14 Dust Cap
• Always replace if removed.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Unit ] Wheel Bearing Unit.
• A perfect seal is only achieved using a new dust cap.
15 Bolt
• Always replace if removed.
• Vehicles with aluminum wheel bearing housing, tightening specification: 200 Nm + 180° turn. Allocation, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).
• Vehicles with a steel wheel bearing housing, tightening specification: 180 Nm + 180° turn. Allocation, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).
• Clean the threads in the stub axle with a thread tap first.
• Loosening and tightening with bit XZN 18 (T10162) , same as on an AWD vehicle. Refer to => [ Drive Axle Hex Bolt Connection, Loosening and Tightening ] Drive Axle Hex Bolt Connection, Loosening and Tightening.
16 Wheel Hub with Wheel Bearing
• Sensor ring for ABS is installed in wheel hub.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Unit ] Wheel Bearing Unit.
• The wheel bearing and wheel hub are installed together in a housing.
• This wheel bearing/wheel bearing unit is maintenance and adjustment free. Adjusting or servicing is not possible!
17 Bolt
• 12 Nm
18 Cover Plate
19 Bolt
• M12 x 1.5 x 80
• 90 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace if removed.
20 Expanding Rivet
21 Stone Protection Plate
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Stone Guard ] Stone Guard.
22 Bonded Rubber Mount
• Replacing, refer to => [ Trailing Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing ] Trailing Arm Bonded Rubber Bushing.
23 Bolt
• 50 Nm + 45° turn
• Always replace if removed.
