Bar Piece

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)





1 Bar Piece

• Removing

- Remove instrument panel cover.

- Remove bar piece - 1 - downward with Trim Removal Wedge (3409).

- Pull bar piece - 1 - down at an angle.

• Installing

- Check clamp - 7 - for damage or deformity.

Replace damaged or deformed clamps.

- Before installing bar piece - 1 -, make sure clamp - 7 - is positioned correctly.

- Slide bar piece - 1 - down at an angle onto upper A-pillar trim - 5 -.

Ensure upper A-pillar trim - 5 - is secured between securing spring - 4 - and bar piece - 1 -.

- Clip bottom of bar piece - 1 - with clamp - 7 -.

Ensure bar piece - 1 - is held securely.

- Install door seal lip - 3 - over bar piece - 1 -.

- Install instrument panel cover => [ Instrument Panel Cover, Removing and Installing ].

Ensure instrument panel cover - 8 - is inserted corrected in bar piece tabs - 1 -.

2 Lower A-pillar Reinforcement

3 Door Seal

4 Retaining Spring

5 Upper A-pillar Trim

6 Lower A-pillar Trim Panel

7 Clips

• Replace if damaged or deformed

8 Instrument Panel Cover

Instrument Panel Cover, Removing and Installing





Removing

- Pry instrument panel cover off at left and right with screwdriver.

- Pull instrument panel cover at left and right out of bar piece tabs.

Installing

- Insert instrument panel cover at left and right into bar piece tabs.

- Clip instrument panel cover at left and right into instrument panel.
