Left Front Coolant Pipes

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

Drip Tray (VAS 6208)

Hose Clip Pliers (VAS 6362)

Removing

- Remove the front engine cover - 1 - upward.






- Remove the noise insulation, to do this loosen the fasteners - 1, 2, arrow -.







Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.

Cover the coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and then open it slowly to release the pressure in the system.

Risk of injury from coolant fan starting by itself.

The radiator fan can come on even when the ignition is turned off, for example, caused by the heat still in the engine compartment.

- Open the coolant reservoir cap.

- Place the (VAS 6208) under engine.

- Open the clamps - arrows - and disconnect the coolant hoses with the (3094) and remove them from the left front coolant pipes.






- Remove the bolt - 1 -.

The installation location is shown with the lock carrier removed.

- Remove the coolant hoses, to do this, loosen the hose clamps - arrows -.






- Remove the bolt - 1 -.

- Remove the left front coolant pipes downward.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pipes Overview ] Coolant Pipes Overview.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.

- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Procedures.

- Install the noise insulation.
