Track Control Arm, Guide Link and Level Control System Sensor Assembly Overview
1 Bolt
• 70 Nm + 180° turn
• Always replace if removed.
2 Guide Link
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Guide Link ] Guide Link.
• Replace guide control arm bearings, refer to => [ Guide Link Bearing ] Guide Link Bearing.
3 Wheel Bearing Housing
4 Nut
• 110 Nm
• Self-locking
• Always replace if removed.
• After loosening threaded connection of guide control arm to wheel bearing housing, adhesive residue must be removed on thread of linkage stub.
5 Nut
• 110 Nm
• Self-locking
• Always replace if removed.
• After loosening threaded connection of track control arm to wheel bearing housing, adhesive residue must be removed on thread of linkage stub.
6 Nut
• Always replace if removed.
7 Bolt
• 40 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace if removed.
8 Shock Absorbers
9 Bolt
• 90 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace if removed.
10 Stabilizer Bar
11 Nut
• 8 Nm
• Self-locking
• Always replace if removed.
12 Control Arm
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Track Control Arm ] Track Control Arm.
• Replacing bearings for track control arm, refer to => [ Track Control Arm Bushing ] Track Control Arm Bushing.
13 Left Front Level Control System Sensor (G78) or Right Front Level Control System Sensor (G289)
• Only remove and install or replace completely. Refer to => [ Front Level Control System Sensor ] Front Level Control System Sensor.
• The sensor lever must point forward.
• After loosening, check basic setting of headlamp adjustment.
• After loosening, control position must be adapted anew in vehicles with air spring suspension. Refer to => [ Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming ] Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming.
• Calibrate the lane assist after loosening. Refer to => [ Lane Assist Calibration Procedure ] Lane Assist Calibration Procedure.
14 Bolt
• 5 Nm
15 Securing Clip
16 Bolt
• 10 Nm
17 Bolt
• 40 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace if removed.
18 Coupling Rod
19 Nut
• Always replace if removed.
20 Bolt
• 70 Nm + 180° turn
• Always replace if removed.
21 Nut
• Always replace if removed.
22 Nut
• Always replace if removed.
23 Subframe
