Seat Heating Element, Comfort Seat

Removing






- Remove cover and upholstery from seat pan. Refer to => [ Cover and Padding, Lower Seat Frame with Seat Depth Adjuster ] Cover and Padding, Lower Seat Frame With Seat Depth Adjuster.

- Disconnect cover from upholstery. Refer to => [ Seat Cover and Padding, Lower Seat Frame with Seat Depth Adjuster, Separating and Connecting ] Seat Cover and Padding, Lower Seat Frame With Seat Depth Adjuster, Separating and Connecting.

- Cut electrical wire - 3 - off directly at old seat heating element - 2 -.

- Cut through the connecting bars - arrows -.

- Carefully loosen the seat heating elements - D - and - E - from the bonded connection and remove them.

• The spacer fabric must not be damaged.

• The old seat heating elements - A, B and C - remain on the upholstery and the new seat heating element is bonded over them.

Installing

- Align the new heating element on upholstery.

• Make sure the new seat heating element is affixed to the old heating element.

• Remove the protective films in the bonding sequence for the heating element area.

• When removing the protective film, make sure the heating element is not damaged and that it is attached without wrinkles.

- Bond the individual areas of the heating element in the sequence - A, B, C, D and E -.

- Route the connecting wires to the individual heating surfaces in the base of the gaps - arrows -.

- Pull the wire - 3 - through the slit in the upholstery - 1 -.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
