VAS 5951 B or VAS 5052, Connecting and Selecting Functions

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051 B) or (VAS 5052)


• During a test drive, the testing and measuring equipment must always be secured on the back seat.

• These devices may be operated only by a passenger during a test drive.

- Connect the VAS 5051/5A diagnostic cable connector to Data Link Connector (DLC).






- Switch on tester - arrow -.






The tester is ready for use when a picture (photo) of a vehicle is displayed.

- Switch on ignition.

- Touch the field / the button on the screen: Guided Fault Finding.

- Select one after another:

• Brand

• Model

• Model year

• Version

• Engine code

- Confirm data entered.

Wait until tester has checked all control modules in vehicle.

- Press the Go to button and select the function/component selection function.

Now, follow the displays on screen to begin the desired functions.
