A/C Compressor Input Shaft

Removing






- Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to => [ A/C Compressor ] A/C Compressor.

- Loosen the hose clamps and remove the grommet - A -.

- Remove driveshaft - B - from the drive pinions splines - C -.

Installing

Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

• Replace the damaged grommet.

• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps used in series production. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

- Check the driveshaft - B -, splines must show no traces of wear and must be seated free of play in the drive wheel splines - C -.

- Prior to installation, grease the input shaft splines - B - for example with grease (G 000 100). Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

- Insert the input shaft - B - before installing A/C compressor and slide it into the drive wheel - C - all the way to the stop.

- Secure the grommet - A - to the flange with the hose clamps to avoid slipping.
