Shift Mechanism Function Unit

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1410)

Removing

- Remove the center console.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the selector mechanism.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Selector Mechanism Overview ] Selector Mechanism Overview.

- Install the two centering pins on the back of the selector mechanism into the opening on the base plate inside the center consoles.

• The two centering pins are located at the front and back between the openings.

• The centering pins align the selector mechanism and the handle with the center console.

- Tighten the bolts - arrows -.

- Connect the connector - 1 -.

- Install the center console.
