Ignition Coil: Service and Repair






Ignition Coils with Power Output Stages

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Ignition Coil Puller (T40039)

Removing






The following steps are only required for the ignition coils from cylinders 2 and 3.

- Remove the vacuum hose - 1 - from the air guide hose connection.

- Loosen the clamps - arrows - and remove the air guide pipe.

All

- Remove the left and right bolts - arrows - and disconnect the connectors from the ignition coils.






- Lay the electrical wiring harness down slightly.

Ignore - 1 and 2 -.

- Remove the ignition coils using the (T40039).






Installing

For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Ignition Overview ] Service and Repair.

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

To mount the air guide hoses on their connectors securely, spray the bolts on the used clamps with rust remover before installing.
