Removing and installing complete EM convertible top

Disconnect drives (emergency actuation of convertible top), Initializing EM Convertible Top After Emergency Release (Convertible Top Unlocked)

Remove side trim panels, Service and Repair






Open side windows and convertible top lid.

Raise clamping bracket into upright position.






Unfasten screws and remove convertible top drive rod (2) and clamping bracket drive rod (4).






Disconnect cable connector and plug (1...3) and pull through.






Detach cable connectors.

Unfasten screws and remove spacer plates (1).

Note:
Note number of spacer plates (1) underneath.

Lift out complete convertible top.

Detach cable connectors.

If applicable, remove cables for hardtop rear windscreen heating and fit to new top.

Installation:

If applicable, adjust EM convertible top, Adjusting EM Convertible Top

Only replace:

Adjust EM convertible top, Adjusting EM Convertible Top
