Radiator: Service and Repair



RADIATOR






REMOVAL
1. Air cleaner assembly.
2. Drain coolant.
3. Engine strut brace bolts from upper tie bar and rotate struts and braces rearward.

IMPORTANT: To prevent shearing of rubber bushings loosen bolts on engine struts before swinging struts.

4. Upper radiator mounting panel bolts and clamps.
5. Electrical connectors from fan(s).
6. Fan mounting bolts and fan(s).
7. Upper radiator bracket.
8. Clamps from upper and lower hoses at radiator.
9. Low coolant sensor electrical connector and sensor.
10. Transaxle oil cooler lines from radiator.
11. Radiator.

TRANSFER PARTS
If replacing the radiator, transfer the following:
^ All Fittings.

INSTALLATION
1. Radiator to lower mounts.
2. Transaxle oil cooler lines to radiator.
3. Low coolant sensor electrical connector and sensor.
4. Upper and lower hoses with clamps to radiator.
5. Upper radiator brackets and bolts.

TIGHTEN
^ Bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb. in.).

6. Fans and mounting bolts.

TIGHTEN
^ Bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).

7. Electrical connectors to fan(s).
8. Engine strut(s) to proper position.
9. Refill coolant.
10. Air cleaner assembly.

INSPECT
^ For leaks.
