Timing Cover: Service and Repair



ENGINE FRONT COVER REPLACEMENT

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the ECU module. Service and Repair





3. Remove the generator assembly. Service and Repair





4. Remove the coolant overflow reservoir.





5. Remove the power steering reservoir. Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement

6. Remove the camshaft covers. Service and Repair

7. Remove the upper radiator hose, and water outlet. 13. Water Outlet Removal





8. Remove the water pump. Service and Repair

9. Remove the engine splash shield.





10. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Service and Repair

11. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Service and Repair





12. Remove the engine front cover from the engine block.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the engine front cover. 128. Engine Front Cover Installation





2. Install the water pump.

3. Install the camshaft covers.

4. Install the drive belt tensioner.






5. Install the crankshaft balancer.





6. Install the coolant overflow reservoir.





7. Install the power steering reservoir.

8. Install the upper radiator hose, and water outlet.





9. Install the generator assembly.

10. Install engine splash shield.





11. Install the ECU module.

12. Connect the negative battery cable.
