Secondary Air Injection Feed Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) feed tube quick connect fitting (1) from the AIR pump. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
3. Remove the AIR feed tube bracket nut (2) from the throttle body stud.
4. Disconnect the AIR feed tube quick connect fitting (3) from the AIR shutoff and check valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
5. Remove the AIR feed tube from the throttle body stud and the vehicle.


Installation Procedure




1. Install the AIR feed tube to the vehicle.
2. Connect the AIR feed tube quick connect fitting (3) to the AIR shutoff and check valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
3. Install the AIR feed tube bracket onto the throttle body stud.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

4. Install the AIR feed tube bracket nut (2) to the throttle body stud.

Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Connect the AIR feed tube quick connect fitting (1) to the AIR pump. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
6. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
