Transmission Brace Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter and Bypass Valve Assembly Replacement ().




4. Remove the transaxle brace bolts.
5. Remove the transaxle brace.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the transaxle brace.
2. Hand start the bolts to the engine and to the transaxle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the transaxle brace bolts to the transaxle.

Tighten the transaxle brace bolts to the transaxle to 43 Nm (32 lb ft).

4. Install the transaxle brace bolts to the engine.

Tighten the transaxle brace bolts to the engine to 63 Nm (46 lb ft).

5. Install the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter and Bypass Valve Assembly Replacement ().
6. Install the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
7. Lower the vehicle.
