Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair)
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement (Door Water Deflector Replacement)
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (4).




4. Remove the mirror assembly fasteners (3).
5. Carefully guide the electrical harness through the door from between the inner panel and the impact bar.
6. Remove the mirror assembly (2) from the door.



Installation Procedure





1. Carefully route the electrical harness through the door in between the inner panel and side impact bar.
2. Install the mirror assembly (2) to the door.
3. The mirror must be parallel to the edge of the mucket within 2 mm.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the fasteners (3) that secure the mirror to the door.

* Tighten the 2 bottom nuts first to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
* Tighten the top nut last to 6 N.m (53 lb in).


5. Connect the electrical connector (4).
6. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement (Door Water Deflector Replacement)
7. Install the trim panel. Refer to one Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair)
