Gusset Replacement - Right

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
Remove the right upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the fasteners (2) that retain the right front gusset to the upper tie bar and inner fender rail.
3. Remove the right front gusset (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the right front gusset (1) to the upper tie bar and inner fender rail.
2. Hand start the fasteners (2) in order to retain the gusset.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Tighten the fasteners in the following order:

1. Rearward outboard corner first
2. Forward inboard corner second
3. The remaining three fasteners third

Tighten the fasteners to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).


4. Install the upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper (Service and Repair) .
5. Close the hood.
