Splash Guard: Service and Repair



Splash Shield Replacement - Engine

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the bolts (2) securing the splash shield.
3. Pull downward the rear of the splash shield (3).
4. Remove the splash shield from the slots in the engine compartment panel.



Installation Procedure





1. Insert the tabs on the shield into the engine compartment panel.
2. Align the tabs on the splash shield with the slots in the engine compartment panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

4. Lower the vehicle.
