Heater Outlet Hose Replacement



Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LH2 - Gas, 8 Cyl, 4.6L, SFI, V8, DOHC, HO, Alum)

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers


Removal Procedure





1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Service and Repair) .
2. Lower the vehicle.
3. Remove the injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Using J 38185 , disengage the hose clamp and disconnect the heater outlet hose (1) from the radiator hose outlet housing.
5. Using J 38185 , disengage the hose clamp and disconnect the heater outlet hose (1) from the heater pipe assembly.
6. Remove the heater outlet hose (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the heater outlet hose (1).
2. Using J 38185 , disengage the hose clamp and connect the heater outlet hose (1) to the heater pipe assembly.
3. Using J 38185 , disengage the hose clamp and connect the heater outlet hose (1) to the radiator hose outlet housing.
4. Install the injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Service and Repair) .
