Torque Converter Cover: Service and Repair




Torque Converter Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the attaching bolts and the engine-to-transmission brace.
3. Remove the torque converter cover.

Installation Procedure

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).




1. Install the torque converter cover.

Tighten the cover bolt to 12 Nm (106 lb in).

2. Install the engine-to-transmission brace and attaching bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 47 Nm (35 lb ft).

3. Lower the vehicle.
